Yesterday Time Warner Cable announced that over 320,000 of it's customers may have had their emails accounts compromised and the passwords associated with those account stolen.

The accounts that the company is mainly focused on concerns its Roadrunner service and those addresses that end with @rr.com.

Time Warner Cable was informed of the breach by the FBI, who are also working with other internet service providers where customer information may have been compromised by phishing scams that installed malware on those company's computers.  TWC says that it's trying to figure out how its customer's information was obtained, the company says that it believes that it's computer system was not breached.

TWC customers should change their email password, and if they have used that password for other important accounts like banking, they should change itat those sites also.
