We were all bummed when "Timber Tina" was the first to be booted from the TV show Survivor: Panama back in 2005.  Now, we'll finally get to see Tina Scheer show her survival skills, this time on the National Geographic Channel's show, "Ultimate Survival: Alaska"!

The contestants are dropped by bush plane into the middle of the Alaskan Wilderness with only the gear on their backs and must navigate their way past everything that Mother Nature throws at them, and some man made obstacles too.

There isn't a prize at the end of this show, just the satisfaction of knowing that "you made it".  The show's producers describe their contestants as, "some the toughest, most extreme survivalists from across the nation".

The first episode of Ultimate Survival: Alaska will be shown Sunday night December 15th at 9.  The National Geographic Channel is on Time Warner Cable channel 759.

"Timber" Tina Scheer, 53,  is the owner of The Great Maine Lumberjack Show on the Bar Harbor Road in Trenton. She has experienced family tragedy and fights for a cause, this "LumberJill" is one tough lady!  By the way, she's the only female contestant on the show and she will compete with Team Woodsmen".

If you remember, Tina was part of the 2012 Fireball Run that ended in Downtown Bangor! I even had the pleasure of talking with Tina while she was on the road!
