This Is Community Policing

This photo is so fantastic! Members of the Ellsworth High School Baseball Team went to the baseball field for photos prior to the prom tonight! Who should show up but Rick Roberts in the cruiser?

Roberts had been the Ellsworth Softball Coach and is still the Golf Coach, in addition to being a member of the Ellsworth Police Department. I love how the boys posed with the cruiser and Officer Roberts was there.

I love this photo because it's an example of community policing at it's finest! This shows the interaction between the teens and the police. It's breaking down barriers and why I love living in Downeast Maine!
