The Lightning Nip the Acadians

The Ellsworth Lightning defeated the Acadian Softball Team in finals of the Bob Dorr Tournament on Monday, June 7th in a high scoring game 15-13. The Ellsworth Lightning had 5 hits with Megan Jordan had 2 singles, Natalie Jagels had a single, Paige Johnson had a single and Shanteena Griffiths had a single. MDI had 3 hits, with Gracie Parker having a triple and single and Addy Boyce a double. The Lighting Roster consisted of Natalie Jagels, Anna Stevens, Lily Bean, Paige Johnsen, Megan Jordan, Sophie Lynch, Kelsie Lambert, Brielle Grindle, Elizabeth Boles, Shantene Griffiths, Lily Alley, Natalie Simpson and Abby Watkins. The Lightning were coached by Josh Stevens, Bernie Johnsen, Ron Bean and Spencer Grindle.

The MDI Acadians roster consisted of Gracie Parker, Emma Kennedy, Addy Boyce, Grace Horner, Soren Hopkins-Goff, Brooke Goff, Taylor Grant, Kaya Gray, Mollie Gray, Carly Collier, Claire Moore, Lexie Tozier and Lily Alley. The Acadians were coached by Nick Grant, Matt Davis and Jay Boyce.
