The Criterion’s New Executive Director [VIDEO]

With the departure of Heather Martin from The Criterion Theatre in Bar Harbor, the 1932 Criterion Theatre has hired Tamara Crowley to be the new Executive Director. Crowley, who was working on her 2nd day on April 27th, sat down with WDEA's Chris Popper to talk about The Criterion, what attracted her to apply for the position and what she hopes to accomplish at The Criterion Theatre with the talented group of people who are deeply devoted to the stewardship of The Criterion!

Crowley is a 1985 graduation of Ellsworth High School. She served in the US Navy and has 20 plus years working in operations, leadership development, and strategic development with with global clients.

She returned to Ellsworth in 2005 with her son who is now 10. She is a recent newlywed and the Board President and Co-Founder of the Ellsworth Challenger Little League, a baseball program designed specifically to support, encourage and connect children with special needs and unique abilities with game, team and friendship..
