The Affordable Care Act (ACA) aims to increase the quality and affordability of health insurance by expanding public and private insurance coverage, but what does this mean for you?

You are invited to attend an informational session to learn more about the state-wide health insurance marketplace/exchange created in Maine as a result of the ACA. Sponsored by the Women’s Health Center Advisory Committee, this event will be held on Wednesday, October 16th from 7-9 pm in the MDI High School Library.

Andrea Irwin, Esq., Staff Attorney and Policy Advocate for the Consumers for Affordable Health Care (CAHC) will provide you with resources to navigate the existing health care system. After her presentation, Ms. Irwin will be joined by Art Blank, President/CEO of MDI Hospital and the 2012 Board Chair of the Maine Hospital Association; and David White, a small business owner and health care advocate.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions and get the information you need to make the right choice for you and your family. For more information, contact the Women’s Health Center at 288-8100.
