Updated as of 8:30! Prayers work. From Maggie's mom

Just as I finished posting that last update one of the doctors here poked her head in to tell me Maggie's bilirubin is in normal limits this morning. Music to this moms ears and exactly what I needed to hear this morning. Thank you all for praying for her. One little victory today!!

Another tough night for Maggie and her mom Lauren. The good thing about the weekend is that I know there are reinforcements heading down to Boston to bolster Lauren.

From mom
We had a rough night filled with more nosebleeds, having to suction her throat (which she hates and she gets so worked up), and high blood pressure. They have been giving her an oral blood pressure medication but they don't think she's swallowing it because her pressures aren't going down so they are trying to come up with a plan this morning. If she's not swallowing that she's probably also not swallowing the other oral medication she takes which helps protect her liver.

She wakes up for a few minutes and cries, which is hard on her mommy to see.

She's still retaining fluid so they gave her more lasix last night which got her to pee once but that was it.

Her labs this morning showed her platelets are stable for the time being but I won't be surprised if she needs them at some point today, her doctor said her body is basically chewing through the cells.

I haven't heard what her liver numbers are yet but if you could pray specifically for low liver #'s especially the bilirubin, no more nosebleeds, and lower blood pressures. Also less pain for her. I'm hoping she will perk up a little today and maybe want to play for a few minutes.

Thank you all for your overwhelming support. It means a lot to our family and is helping me hold it together right now.

Please keep praying. Pray for a peaceful Friday. Pray for a sense of calmness for Maggie and Lauren. Pray that they have a good day. Pray for healing.

Please upload a photo! I know that Lauren has been heartened and strengthened by the love and support. Have a look at them, you’ll feel stronger too.The page is being updated constantly as we receive submissions. You can either upload them HERE or email them to me chris.popper@townsquaremedia.com

You can make a donation to help defray the medical and travel costs associated with Maggie’s care. Maggie has been down in Boston for 3 weeks. I know there are family going down this weekend to help Lauren and Maggie, but let’s face it, gas is expensive. If you want to make a donation, click HERE for the details.
