A teacher being investigated for possession of child pornography was found dead on Saturday. The school had just been notified of the investigation on Friday.

WABI-TV reports that John Bapst Memorial High School teacher Jeremiah Gorman was being investigated for possession of child pornography. Head of School Mel MacKay sent an email Saturday evening to parents and students to inform them that the school was notified of the investigation on Friday, when Gorman's classroom and home were searched.

The email goes on to say that the body of the social sciences teacher was found in a hotel room on Saturday. Bangor Police have had little to say on the matter other than to confirm an investigation is underway.

MacKay urges any parents or students who feel they may have any pertinent information to call the school or the Bangor Police.
