At 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 6th there were still 8,000 Versant Power customers without power because of the snow,rain and wind on Saturday night and Sunday morning. Although crews will be working through the night in all areas, customers who are still without service at 10 p.m. should prepare to be without power overnight.
7 a.m. UPDATE - As of 7 a.m. Wednesday, December 2nd there were 2698 Versant Power customers without power including 934 in Hancock County, and 61 in Washington County. It is expected that all should have power by the end of the day on Wednesday December 2nd. After having more than 22,000 customers without power at some point on Wednesday, September 30th, there are 4714 Versant Power customers without power as of 11 a..m. on Thursday, October 1st.
There are 15,019 Versant Power customers without power. Restoration efforts will continue through the night, but those still experiencing outages at 10 p.m. should plan to be without power through the night
Versant Power crews have scheduled a planned power outage on Tuesday, August 18th for emergency maintenance repair of a broken pole. The outage will impact parts of East Machias. Whiting, and Marion Township on Tuesday, August 18. The work will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will take approximately 3 hours to complete.
