Acadian Youth Sports

The Ellsworth Major 11-12 Baseball Team defeated the Acadians Wednesday night, 8-0 winning the District 1 Championship and advance to the State Championships. Hunter Curtis  and David Baugh combined to threw a no-hitter for Ellsworth.

Congratulations to the Maine District1 9-10 Softball Champions... The Acadians who defeated Ellsworth, Wednesday night, July 13th in Bar Harbor 17-9. The Acadians will now advance to the Maine State 9-10 Softball Championships!

The Ellsworth Minor Baseball team knocked out the Acadians Tuesday night, July 12th in Bar Harbor, winning 10-6. Ellsworth now moves out of the loser's bracket and will play Machias in the Championship round on Thursday. Ellsworth needs to beat Machias twice to represent District 1 in the State Tourney.

None of these boys were alive when the Bee Gees had the hit "Stayin' Alive" but that song could very well be the soundtrack for the Acadian Majors 11-12 baseball team this summer! The Acadians defeated Coastal 4-1 on Monday, July 11th to stay alive in the double elimination District 1 Tournament.

The Acadian Major (11-12) Baseball Team staved off elimination on Friday, July 8th defeating Machias 6-4. The Acadians, now 2-1 in the double elimination tournament will play at Coastal on Monday July 11th.

The Acadian Minor (9-10) All Star Team lost to Machias on Friday, July 8th, 17-6, in a game that was resumed after it was suspended on Thursday because of rain. The Acadians are now 2-1 in the double elimination tournament, and will next play the winner of the Ellsworth-Coastal game on Monday, July 11th. The Ellsworth-Coastal game is scheduled to be played on Saturday.

The Acadian Minor Softball Team defeated Machias Thursday afternoon in the rain on July 7th in Bar Harbor. The Acadians are now 2-0 in the double elimination tournament and next will play the winner of the Ellsworth - Machias game, on Monday.

The Acadians 11/12 All-Star baseball team beat Calais 11-1 on Wednesday night, to even their record at 1-1 in the double elimination tournament to see who will represent District 1 in the Maine State Tourney.

Congratulations to the Acadian Minors All-Star Baseball Team which won their first playoff game on Thursday, June 30th, defeating Calais 5-2. The Acadians are now 1-0 in the double elimination tourney to see who represents District 1 in the Maine Playoffs.
