Beach Hazard Warning
There is a Beach Hazard Warning in effect today, Sunday, June 25th until 8 PM. Areas affected include Acadia National Park, Lamoine Beach, Castine, Roque Bluffs State Park and Quoddy Head State Park.
Carriage Roads to Be Resurfaced
Every 10 to 15 years the carriage roads in Acadia National Park must be resurfaced as a result of the rain and use by Park patrons. This year, the National Park Service with Harold MacQuinn out of Ellsworth will be resurfacing 13 miles of the 45 mile carriage road system.

Air Quality Alert For Monday June 12
The Maine Department of Environmental Protection has issued an air quality alert for the Coastal Hancock County including the higher elevations of Acadia National Park Counties on Monday, June 12th from 10 AM  to 11 PM. This alert is for elevated levels of ground ozone.
Beach Hazards Statement by National Weather Service
The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a Beach Hazards Statement which is in effect from 8 AM Saturday, June 10th through this evening for Coastal Hancock and Washington Counties, including Acadia National Park, Lamoine Beach, Castine, Roque Bluffs State Park and Quoddy Head State Park.
