Usually, Sylvia's Cafe in the Mill Mall in Ellsworth is wall to wall people enjoying everything from scrambled eggs to chicken salad sandwiches!  So, it seems odd to see the place completely cleaned out!

The folks at Sylvia's have temporarily closed the restaurant and have begun refurbishing the place.  The windows are covered and work has begun.  Yesterday, they dismantled everything and then posted these pictures on Facebook.

It sounds like the job is a little more than they expected, here's the message that they posted yesterday: "After taking everything apart today, we realize it is not realistic that we will be able to re-open Easter Sunday. So, we will let all the staff stay home with their families one more day and re-open at 4:30 am Monday April 6th!"

We look forward to Sylvia's new look, eventually getting our "face in the place," and then bellying up to breakfast soon!
