SWHFD Open House Saturday Oct. 1

October is National Fire Prevention Month, and the Southwest Harbor Fire Department is celebrating with a Open House, this Saturday, October 1st from 10 AM to 2 PM! Bring the whole family by the station located at 250 Main Street in Southwest Harbor!

The Southwest Harbor Fire Department will be offering station tours, demonstrations, refreshments and door prizes. You and your children will be able to climb into the fire trucks and see the equipment that firefighters use protecting us and putting out fires.

It's you and your children's opportunity to try on the fire gear, and maybe even spray a hose !

If you have ever considered volunteering for the Southwest Harbor Fire Department this is the perfect opportunity to come by and talk with the firefighters and Chief!
