A Surry man who was pulled from a quarry last Thursday in Sullivan has died, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

Jeremiah Moon, 26, died Sunday at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, according to Maj. Richard Bishop of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

The Bangor Daily News reports that a cause of death has not been disclosed.

Investigators say Moon apparently was swimming at the quarry Thursday afternoon and he didn't resurface. Moon was pulled from the water by bystanders.
