Sunrise at 6:56

You may not have noticed but the sun is rising earlier and earlier. As a matter of fact, on Tuesday, January 24th the sunrise in Bar Harbor was at 6:56 AM. On Friday the 20th, the sunrise was at 6:59 AM, the first time it happened before 7 AM since December 13th!

The earliest that sunrise will occur in Bar Harbor in 2017 is 4:46 AM and that happens June 7-21st.
