Sumner Boys Soccer Beats Calais 12-1

With the season reaching the half-way mark, the Sumner Boy's Soccer Team remains undefeated, after beating Calais Thursday afternoon, September 20th 12-1 in East Sullivan. The Tigers are just 1 of 2 unbeaten teams in Class C North.

Damon Warren had 5 goals and Orlando Herrera had 3 goals and 3 assists. Silas Goldfarb had a goal and 3 assists. Eduardo Figueroa had a goal and an assist.  Caelan Billings and Collin Piper each tallied a goal. Bryce Coombs, Sam Bunch, Chris Beattie and Tyler Zerrien each had an assist for the Tigers.

Gavin Parks scored for the Blue Devils.

For Calais, Cameron Kelley had 27 saves on 43 shots. Sumner's goalkeepers Alex Rumill and Joe Patterson combined for 4 saves on 6 shots.

Up next for the Sumner Tigers, a game in Machias against the Machias Bulldogs on Tuesday, September 25th at 4PM.

Calais 2-4 plays at Bucksport on Saturday, September 22nd at 1PM.
