The Sumner Boys Soccer Team took Route 1 to Calais on Monday, Columbus Day/Indigenous People Day and came home with a 10-0 shutout victory, to improve their record to 11-1 on the season.

Damon Wareen had 6 goals and 1 assist to lead the Tiger attack. Aiden Weaver, Dylan Bernier and Caelan Billings each had a goal and an assist. Eduardo Figueroa had a goal and two assists and Silas Goldfarb had three assists. David Allen also added an assist.

Alex Rumill and Bryce Coombs were in goal for Sumner and combined for the shutout with 3 saves on 3 shots. Cameron Kelly and Blake Collins were in goal for Calais and combined for 28 saves on 38 shots.

Sumner 11-1 has 2 games remaining, at Narraguagus on Wednesday October 10th at 3:30PM and then home on Saturday, October 13th against Bucksport at 2PM, which is Senior Recognition Day.

Calais is 5-7 and plays home against Houlton on Friday, October 12th at 4PM.
