This week we are featuring a handsome senior dog named Spike!

Spike is 10-year-old Wirehair Dachshund who has just arrived at the shelter.  Spike is a cool little guy who is somewhat nervous of new people, but quickly warms up if you give him a little time.

He is well mannered and is very handsome with his salt and pepper coat.  Because he is an older dog, Spike is a little stressed out being at a shelter with all the other younger canines. He is hoping to find a nice quiet forever home where he can live out his golden years. Don’t let Spike’s age dissuade you. He still has a ton of pep and even loves to play!!

To meet Spike or any of the other wonderful dogs and cats up for adoption at the SPCA, please stop by the shelter at 141 Bar Harbor Road, Trenton. They're are open 11 to 5 Tuesdays through Sundays. You can also call them at 667-8088,  visit the Facebook page or check out their website at www.spcahancockcounty.org.
