The Red Sox won! The Red Sox won! It's been so long since I've written that, I had to write it twice! The Red Sox defeated the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday afternoon, June 16th 9-4, snapping their 7 game losing streak.

The Red Sox rode the bat of Brock Holt  who hit for the cycle, the first Red Sox to do so since John Valentin did so on June 6th, 1996. Holt hit a single, double, home run and then  a triple to the triangle! Holt hit leadoff and played 2nd base as the Red Sox gave Dustin Pedroia the day off as he had left knee soreness. Holt is now batting .309 on the season, 2nd only to Pedroia's .313

Wade Miley picked up the win, going 6.1 innings scattering 5 hits. He allowed 2 earned runs, struck out 8 and walked 2. This was his first start since he and manager John Farrell had a verbal confrontation in the dugout after Miley's start when he was pulled early.

Mike Napoli snapped his 0-18 slump, going 2-4. Mookie Betts was 3-5 with a double and triple and Pablo Sandoval was 2-4.

The Red Sox now go to Atlanta for a 2 game series followed by a 3 game series in Kansas City. The pregame on Wednesday begins at 6:25 with the first pitch at 7:10 on AM 1370 WDEA!
