The Red Sox have their first 3 game winning streak since their 4 game winning streak ended on July 8 thanks to a 11-7 victory over Tampa Bay on Saturday afternoon August 1st at Fenway Park.

Travis Shaw who was called up Saturday morning thanks to nagging injuries to Pablo Sandoval made the most of his opportunity, hitting 2 homers, as well as a single and double, as he went 4-4 with 3 RBIs and scored 5 runs.

Xander Bogaerts went 4-5 with 3 RBIs including a double. Rusney Castillo was also  3-4. In all the Red Sox belted out 16 hits. Only Mike Napoli 0-5 and Jackie Bradley Jr. 0-2 (2 walks) were hitless for the Red Sox.

Joe Kelly went 5 innings for the Red Sox, picking up the win. He allowed 5 runs on 9 hits while striking out 6. Jean Machi, recalled on July 30, picked up his 1st save of the season.

The Red Sox are now 47-58 and will play Tampa Bay Sunday afternoon with the pregame starting at 12:50 and 1st pitch at 1:35 on AM 1370 WDEA. The Red Sox are off on Monday, and then start a series against the Yankees in New York on Tuesday, August 4th.
