Sox Stand Virtually Pat

The Boston Red Sox chatted a lot, but when push came to shove only made one small trade before the 4 PM trade deadline on Friday, July 31st. They acquired right handed pitcher Ryan Cook from Oakland for a player to be named later.  The Red Sox can still move players, they'll have to go through the waiver wire before being able to be traded.

The Red Sox play the Tampa Bay Rays tonight at 7:10 PM with the pregame starting at 6:25 PM on AM 1370 WDEA. Both Hanley Ramirez and Pablo Sandoval are out of the lineup with shin and forearm injuries respectively.
