Xander Bogaerts led the Red Sox 16-hit attack with a 3-run homer, four total hits and four RBI in an 8-1 win Friday night over the Minnesota Twins.

While the Sox pounded out the hits, knuckleballer Steven Wright did his thing - 7.1 innings, no earned runs and an ERA that drops to 2.09, best in the American League.

Dustin Pedroia had three hits. Jackie Bradley Jr. had two hits and two RBI.

The Sox are 35-25 and with the Orioles loss Friday night, the Sox climb back within one game of first place in the AL East.
