It took 7 innings before a run went on the scoreboard, unfortunately for the Red Sox it was Tampa Bay who scored the most on their way to a 6-2 win at Fenway Park.Boston starter Rick Porcello allowed 11 hits but was able to keep Tampa Bay off the board for the first 6 innings until Daniel Nava broke a scoreless tie in the top of the 7th with an rbi single. Porcello and the pen could not stop the bleeding at that point as the Rays would score 5 more to pull out the win.

Steven Souza had the big night for the Rays collecting 4 hits including a home run. Azdrubal Cabrera added a solo shot as part of his 3-hit performance helping Tampa win for the second time in this four game series.

Boston hitters were held in-check by six Rays pitchers who allowed just 7 hits on the night. Mookie Betts had 3 of those hits and raised hit batting average to .293 in the process.

The teams will close out the series tonight with Wade Miley taking the mound for Boston. You can hear the pregame starting at 6:25 on AM 1370 WDEA.
