The Boston Red Sox lost their second game in a row to the New York Yankees, 4-2, and are now 3 games out of first place and at .500 with a 12-12 record.

Dustin Pedroia hit his 5th homer for the Red Sox

Blake Swihart making his major league debut singled in the 5th inning. He ended up 1-3, striking out twice, walking once and scoring a run.

Wade Miley pitched well for the Red Sox, going 7 innings, allowing 3 runs, all earned, and struck out 3. His record falls to 1-3 but his ERA improved to 7.15

The Red Sox will play the Yankees Sunday night with the pregame starting at 7:20 and first pitch at 8:05 PM on AM 1370 WDEA.  Joe Kelly 1-0 with a 4.94 ERA will take the mound for the Red Sox and he'll be opposed by Adam Warren 1-1 with a 4.35 ERA
