Simply put, Drew Pomeranz just didn't have it last night. After two innings of soft tossing, the Blue Jays blasted him for five runs on seven hits and he was done. The Red Sox never recovered and lost 6-4.

The magic number to clinch stays at three. The Yankees won their game so the Boston lead in the AL East is now four games.

Perhaps the biggest story from last night is the injury bug. Eduardo Nunez tried to DH but his knee buckled during his second at bat. Mookie Betts left the game with a sore wrist. Dustin Pedroia sat out the game as he tries to manage a sore knee.

The Boston Red Sox and the Toronto Blue Jays play the middle game of the 3 game series on Tuesday night with the pregame starting at 6:25 and 1st pitch at 7:10 on AM 1370 WDEA.
