Sox Find Offense, Win 15-1 [VIDEO]
It was an emotional day and night at Fenway Park where Manager John Farrell delivered somber news about his cancer diagnosis which seemed to inspire the team as they went out and beat the Seattle Mariners 15-1.The Red Sox scored 3 runs in the bottom of the first inning to take the lead and blow it open with 6 more in the third inning.
Boston smacked 3 home runs in the game with Travis Shaw getting two of them as part of a 3-hit night where he also drove in 3 runs. Shaw becomes just the second Red Sox player in the last 100 years to have two multiple home run games in his first 18 games in the Major League. George Scott was the other player to do it in 1966.
Pablo Sandoval also had 3 hits and 3 rbi while Brock Holt added 3 rbi himself. The last time the Sox put up 21 hits in a game was in 2009 and their last 15 run game was in the World Series season of 2013.
