The Red Sox belted three home runs while Steven Wright and the bullpen held the Yankees in check Friday night. It all spelled a 5-3 win in the first game after the all star break.

Ryan Hannigan, Xander Bogaerts and Travis Shaw ripped the home runs.

Wright pitched the first innings, giving up three runs. He picked up his 11th win.

The Sox improve to 12 games over .500 at 50-38.
