Voters in Southwest Harbor overwhelmingly voted to renovate the playground at the Pemetic School on Tuesday, June 12th. The vote passed nearly 4 to 1.

The question was  "Should the inhabitants of the Town of Southwest Harbor appropriate a sufficient sum up to $180,000 as a loan from undesignated fund balance for the purpose of replacing the K-2 playground at Pemetic School as well as a climber for grades 3-8? Such loan to be repaid from future tax revenue in the sum of $30,000 annually, until the undesignated fund balance has been repaid in full."

Voters approved this with 422 yes votes while there were 108 no votes
