Chris Popper

Chris is WDEA’s “Sports Guy”!  He has been broadcasting MDI and Ellsworth Basketball games for the past 8 years and this is the 7th year of broadcasting MDI Football. He is the 2013 Electronic Media Award winner from the Maine Interscholastic Athletic Administrator’s Association in recognition for outstanding electronic media contributions to Maine Interscholastic Athletics.

In addition to broadcasting the sporting events for Townsquare Media, Chris sells advertising on the Townsquare Media stations. Congratulations to MDI's Sierra Tapley who was named Big East Girl's Basketball Player of the Week, for the 2nd time this season, this afternoon Monday, January 26th.

Tapley scored 42 points,  and had 9 rebounds, 7 assists,  and 7 steals in two games this past weekend
