Chris is WDEA’s “Sports Guy”!  He has been broadcasting MDI and Ellsworth Basketball games for the past 11 years and this is the 10th year of broadcasting MDI Football. He is the 2013 Electronic Media Award winner from the Maine Interscholastic Athletic Administrator’s Association in recognition for outstanding electronic media contributions to Maine Interscholastic Athletics. He is the 2015 Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce President’s Award  Winner for Sustained and Exceptional Service to the Community

The Bucksport Unified Basketball Team fell to the Lisbon 40-37 in the Maine State Unified  Basketball Championships held at Winslow High School on Thursday, March 23rd. Peregrine Falcons Return to Acadia National Park

Acadia National Park staff have noticed that the peregrine falcons have returned to their traditional nesting territories at the Precipice, Jordan and Valley Cove cliffs in Acadia National Park and therefore the National Park Service has closed the cliffs and associated trails to the public so as to protect the peregrine falcons from disturbance or harrassment during the nesting stage.
