Congratulations to MDI High School's Kelsey Shaw who today committed to attend Division 2 Stonehill College beginning in the fall of 2016. The Stonehill Skyhawks finished the 2014-15 season with a 24-5 record, losing in the NCAA Division II East Regional Championships to the University of New Haven.

Kelsey Shaw was the Big East Player of the Week twice and co-Player of the Week twice in the 2014-15 high school season. MDI finished the regular season last year with a perfect 18-0 record before being upset by Gardiner in the Tournament.

Kelsey is the second MDI Trojan to commit to play collegiate basketball in the Fall of 2016, as she joins teammate Sierra Tapley who has committed to play at the University of Maine next year.

Kelsey is the daughter of Amy and Norman Shaw. Her sister, Hannah Shaw just finished her first year at Endicott College where she played for the Endicott College Gulls.

Shaw's commitment is contingent upon acceptance by Stonehill College and the NCAA clearinghouse.
