Shaw Named Big East Player of Week

Fresh off of being named Big East Girl's Co-Player of the Week last week (with Hannah Graham of Presque Isle), MDI's Kelsey Shaw was named Big East Girl's Player of the Week on her own today.

And really, there wasn't any doubt, given the monstrous week that she had, as MDI went 3-0 on the week. Shaw ended up with 67 points, 27 rebounds and 10 assists, and never saw the court in the 4th Quarter in the 3rd game of the week.

On Tuesday, December 16th, MDI defeated Washington Academy 72-46 anbd Shaw had 33 points, including going 7-9 from the free throw line.

On Thursday December 18th, MDI defeated Foscroft Academy 80-37 and Shaw had 14 points, and played little if at all in the 4th Quarter.

On Saturday December 20th, MDI defeated GSA and Shaw had 20 points, and never got off the bench in the 4th Quarter.

Shaw and the MDI Trojans are off now until Monday December 29th when they head to Aroostook County to play Caribou on the 29th  and Presque Isle, on December 30th. Both those games will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370 and WDEA Internet Radio.
