School is right around the corner, and for many families it's a time of concern, as they don't have the resources to buy their children all the school supplies they need. Teachers do the best they can in making supplies go as far as they can, but school budgets are tight, and teachers can't buy everything out of their own pockets.  Teachers as it is are purchasing food for hungry students, kleenex and supplies, but their family budgets are strained too!

That's why it's so great to see Pat's Pizza on High Street in Ellsworth holding a school supply drive. There are boxes set up in Pat's and they're offering a $1.00 off pizza if you bring in some supplies! They're hoping they have enough supplies to send them to the elementary schools in  Ellsworth, Hancock, Lamoine, Surry, Trenton, Cave Hill, Beech Hill, and Mt. View.

They're also encouraging other businesses to set up boxes in their locations. If you're a business and have set up a box, please let me know by emailing me at chris.popper@townsquaremedia.com and I'll post about it so people will know where to drop off supplies! Thanks!

We all know that some kids aren't able to get the supplies needed to start their new school year off on the right foot...
