With the horrific tragedy of the Parkland Florida school shooting fresh in everyone's mind, the Superintendents of AOS 91 and Ellsworth are planning safety meetings.

The Mount Desert Island Regional School System will hold a Community Forum on School Safety and Security at MDI High School's Auditorium on Tuesday, March 6th from 6PM - 7:30PM. Scheduled to attend are Superintendent Dr. Marc Gauss, Island Police Chiefs, Building Principals, Guidance Counselors, Social Workers and hopefully you!

Ellsworth Superintendent Dan Higgins has scheduled a Public Forum on School Safety on Wednesday, March 7th from 6:30PM-8:30PM in the cafeteria of the Ellsworth Elementary-Middle School's Cafeteria. The agenda includes a brief presentation on safety and security measures in the Ellsworth School District followed by a dialogue on school safety and how the Ellsworth community can collectively work to enhance the safety of the students and staff.
