For the last 4 or 5 years, I have had the great privilege in helping Santa Claus when he comes to Brewer for the annual "Breakfast with Santa" program. Area children come into the Brewer Auditorium and make a variety of crafts, and then sit down with Santa, while someone reads "Twas the Night Before Christmas". The children have a donut hole from Dunkin Donuts and milk or juice. Then they get to come up and talk to Santa! It's always the highlight of my Christmas preparation, and this year it was no different!

This year, as Santa came down the elevator a child broke away from the line as he was so excited and just wanted to give Santa a hug. Santa, being the great guy that he is just scooped him up and gave him a hug and carried him back to the line! To be able to see Christmas through the eyes of a child is the great gift there is!

Here are some pictures of this year's event.
