Sandoval to Have Surgery

The Boston Red Sox announced on Monday, May 2nd that 3rd baseman Pablo Sandoval will undergo surgery on his left shoulder. The procedure will be performed by Dr. James Andrews in the near future.

Sandoval was placed on the disabled list on April 13th, retroactive to April 11th.

The Red Sox will provide additional information and comment once the surgery has been completed.
