Rule #1 When Playing Soccer – Tie Your Shoe [Video]

Yesterday was the start of fall high school athletic practices, and we brought you a brief video with the sights and sounds of the Ellsworth Girl's Soccer team. I didn't hear if Coach Katye Lacasse reminded the girls to tie their shoes before getting on to the field. Now you're probably wondering, why the heck would a coach have to remind their player to tie their shoes right?

Well, have a look at the video! Bright Dike takes a right footed shot outside of the penalty box, and while the goalie was able to field the low line drive, his right shoe went into the goal. Unfortunately for the Toronto FC player, goals only count when the ball goes into the goal, and not the shoe!
