The MaineDOT continues to battle the snow in more ways than one this week.  Here's what they're trying to accomplish within the Bar Harbor Route 3 reconstruction project during the remainder of the week.

Of course all work is weather dependent.

- This week the contractor plans to work on clearing from Duck Brook to College of the Atlantic.

- The utility contractor will continue setting new telephone poles starting at Sand Point Road and continue south down the project.

The the two and a half year, $17.9 million project,  will span from a point 0.57 miles west of Sand Point Road to the intersection of Route 3/Eden Street and Route 233 in Bar Harbor.
