Route 3 Work to Stop For Winter and Resume Again on March 30th

The Bar Harbor Route 3 construction will shut down for the winter on November 30th and is scheduled to resume on March 30th, 2019. The projected completion date is June 15th, 2019

Work still to be completed in 2019 include concrete curbing, an ADA ramp and drainage work. In the Spring, erosion will be cleaned up and sidewalks will be paved as will a few driveways. A stretch of road will be surface paved and new trees will be planted.  An escape shoulder will be added at Sand Point Road and there will be various other improvements made
