Request-A-Thon For Stepping Stones Is TODAY!!

This is a great opportunity for you to help get our area's homeless women and their children off the streets and their lives established once again!  Not to mention a whole lot of fun!!

TODAY until 7 p.m., we'll play any song on the planet for a donation to Stepping Stones, a Bangor based non-profit agency that moves people from welfare to independence.  Your private support will fund and speed up this process.

Homelessness in Maine increased by 26% last year. The average homeless person in Maine is typically a woman with a young child or children. This year, 100% of clients who graduated from the Stepping Stones program moved into stable or permanent housing.

All donations this Friday will stay right here in Bangor and help those who need it most!!

Call our request line at 991-9713, and then request ANY SONG!  We'll play it for a donation!

When you call, either Paul Wolfe, Dorian Daniels or myself, will take your request and then pass you off to the folks from Stepping Stones, who will be right here in the studio with us.  They'll gladly accept your donation.

Are you a local artist or part of a local band?  We'll play your song for a $50 donation to Stepping Stones!  Email a MP3 of your song to I95@Midmaine.com and then call us on the request line at 991-9713!

To whomever donates the LARGEST GIFT:  A night at the Portland Westin Harbor View Hotel with $50 towards dinner at the C2 Restaurant and 2 tickets to The Magic of Christmas by the Portland Symphony Orchestra!

To whomever phones in the COOLEST REQUEST OF THE DAY, as determined by our announcers:  A one night stay at a hotel in North Conway, the Town and Country motor Inn at Mt Washington Valley. Dinner and breakfast included.

We also have MATCHING FUNDS provided by others!  Basically, request a song by one of the featured artists and $20 will be added to your donation by a private donor!  Artists on the list include John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Boston, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Jimmy Buffett, Johnny Cash, Journey, Kiss, Motley Crue and Miranda Lambert!
