As the NFL continues its investigation into whether the New England Patriots intentionally deflated footballs in Sunday's win over the Colts, new information came out Tuesday night.ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting a source in the NFL has indicated to him that 11 of the 12 footballs the Patriots used in the game were two pounds per square inch (psi) less than the league approved minimum. The NFL mandates that balls be inflated between 12.5 to 13.5 psi and are checked and approved before each game.

The league has declined comment on the latest report and the Patriots have only said they are fully cooperating with the investigation.

On a side note, Bill Vinovich who was the referee in the AFC Championship and in charge of the crew that approved the game balls used in Sunday's game has been selected as the referee for the Super Bowl.
