The Boston Red Sox beat the Toronto Blue Jays Tuesday night, September 11th, winning their 99th game of the season, 7-2 and clinching a playoff berth for the 3rd consecutive year. The Red Sox magic number to win the AL East is 9.

Tuesday night Brock Holt came off the bench hitting a pinch-hit, game-winning 3 run homer with 2 outs in the 7th inning. He now has 2 pinch hit homers, both game winners.

Steve Pearce was 1-2 with a triple to center in the 7th inning plating the Red Sox' first run.

Chris Sale came off the disabled list, making his first start since August 12th. He threw 1 inning allowing 1 hit and striking out 2.

Nathan Eovaldi came in from the bullpen throwing 3.2 innings allowing 3 hits, 2 earned runs and striking out 4 while walking 2.

The Boston Red Sox will take on Toronto Wednesday night looking for their 100th win of the season. David Price will head to the mound for Boston, with the pregame starting at 6:25 and 1st pitch at 7:10 on AM 1370 WDEA.
