The Boston Red Sox's 7 game Spring Training losing streak is over after the Boston Red Sox defeated Baltimore on St. Patrick's Day 9-5. The Red Sox are now 6-10 in the Spring.

It wasn't a great start for Henry Owens, fighting for a place in the starting rotation. He went 2.2 innings allowing 4 runs, all earned on 4 hits while striking out 4. He walked 2 and allowed a homer. Matt Barnes who relieved Owens was stellar in relief, going 2.1 innings, allowing 0 runs on 2 hits. He struck out 1 and has a 0.00 ERA this spring!

Sam Travis is making a case for himself as a early season call-up if Hanley Ramirez doesn't produce at first. Travis was 2-3 with a home run and 4 RBI's. He is hitting .591 this Spring. Travis Shaw was 1-3 playing 3rd Base.

The Red Sox play two games on Friday, with split squad games against Tampa Bay and Minnesota. The next game on WDEA AM 1370 will be Saturday, March 19th against St. Louis at 1 PM.
