The Boston Red Sox snapped their 4 game losing streak early Saturday morning, defeating the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 6-2. Rick Porcello, who is proving to be the ace of the staff in 2016 won his 14th game of the season, pitching a complete game, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits while striking out 3.

The 14 wins, ties Porcello for the league lead. He has now won the last 6 starts in a row, something he's only done one other time in his career, back in 2014. Entering last night's game, since August 26th, 2015 Porcello was 17-6 with a 3.44 ERA, 165 strike outs and 35 walks in 183.1 innings. In that time, he is 2nd in the AL for wins, tied for 4th in innings pitched and his strikeout to walk ratio of 4.71 is 2nd! Not too shabby!

Jackie Bradley Jr. hit his 17th homer of the season, a career high, and Xander Bogaerts hit his 13th homer of the season. Bogaerts drove in 3 runs on the night going 2-5 and is now hitting .331 on the season.

The Boston Red Sox continue their 4 game series with the Angels on Saturday night. Drew Pomeranz takes the mound for the Red Sox, with the pregame starting at 8:20 and 1st pitch at 9:05 on AM 1370 WDEA.
