It took 7 hours and 20 minutes and 18 innings, both records, before the Boston Red Sox lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 on a walk-off home run by Max Muncy. The Red Sox used all of their bench players, and had just 2 pitchers in reserve, Drew Pomeranz (who was warming up) and Chris Sale when the Dodgers won. Boston leads the Best of 7 Series 2 games to 1.

Rick Porcello started for the Red Sox and went 4.2 innings allowing 3 hits and 1 run. He struck out 5 and walked 1. But the talk is of Nathan Eovaldi's performance, who went 6 innings and threw 97 pitches, after pitching in games 1 and 2. He allowed just 3 hits, 2 runs and struck out 5 while walking 1

The Red Sox managed just 7 hits over the 18 innings. The 1st 4 batters for the Red Sox were a combined 0-28. Jackie Bradley Jr. did have  solo homer which tied the game at 1-1 in the 8th inning.

The Red Sox and Dodgers will play Game 4 Saturday night, with the pregame starting at 7PM and 1st pitch at 8:09. Nathan Eovaldi was supposed to pitch Game 4 but now the Red Sox will have to decide upon a new starting pitcher. You can hear the pregame and game on AM 1370 WDEA.
