The Boston Red Sox lost to the Detroit Tigers on Saturday afternoon, 5-1 and will play the rubber game of the series Sunday night with the pregame beginning at 7:20 and first pitch at 8:08 on AM 1370 WDEA. Eduardo Rodriguez takes the mound for the Red Sox.

The Tigers took the lead in the top of the 1st inning as Yoenis Cespedes homered off of knuckleballer Steven Wright. Wright ended up going 4.1 innings, allowing 4 runs, 2 of which were earned. He allowed 5 hits, struck out 4 and walked 2. It was a rough day behind the plate for catcher Blake Swihart, as he allowed 4 passed balls trying to catch the knuckleball.

The Red Sox scored their lone run in the bottom of the 5th inning when Blake Swihart tripled and then scored on a ground out by Mookie Betts.
