The Boston Red Sox fell to the New York Yankees Saturday afternoon, March 5th 6-4, in Spring Training action.

Mookie Betts started the game with a triple for the Red Sox.

Betts scored on Brock Holt's single to give the Red Sox a 1-0 lead.

Steven Wright, pitched 3 innings, allowing 2 runs, both earned. He walked 1, struck out 1 and gave up 5 hits including a home run.

Red Sox reliever Anthony Vavaro pitched the 7th inning and gave up 3 runs, all earned on 3 hits including a home run. He struck out 1.

In the 8th inning Brennan Boesch and Ryan LaMarre each hit solo homers for the Red Sox.

The Red Sox play on Sunday against the Baltimore Orioles at 1 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA. Clay Buchholz will start the game for the Red Sox. He missed the 2nd Half of the 2015 season (out since July 10th) with a right elbow strain.
