The Boston Red Sox concluded a disappointing 3-3 homestand with a 5-2 loss on Sunday, June 10th to the Chicago White Sox and are now in 2nd place in the AL East, one half game behind the New York Yankees.

Rick Porcello pitched well enough for the win, going 6.0 innings allowing just 5 hits and 3 runs, 2 of which were earned. He struck out 5 and walked 2. The Red Sox were only able to manage 7 hits, but the problem was they left 12 men on base, including the bases loaded twice.

JD Martinez, Sandy Leon and Andrew Benintendi each had a double for the Red Sox

The Red Sox now start a 10 game road trip with 3 games against the Baltimore Orioles, 4 games with the Seattle Mariners and 3 games with the Minnesota Twins. Monday night's pregame begins at 6:20 and first pitch at 7:05 on AM 1370 WDEA. The Red Sox will send knuckleballer Steven Wright to the mound
