The Boston Red Sox fell out of 1st place Wednesday night, losing to the streaking New York Yankees 9-6 in New York. The New York Yankees have won 17 out of their last 18 games, their best streak since 1953.

The Red Sox were leading 6-4 in the 8th inning, but Craig Kimbrel couldn't get the 5 out save, and Aaron Judge smashed a 2 run homer off Kimbrel in the 8th inning.

Rick Porcello started the game for the Red Sox and he lasted 5.1 innings allowing 5 earned runs on 8 hits. He struck out and walked 3.

Mitch Moreland and Hanley Ramirez each hit a 2 run homer run for the Red Sox. Andrew Benintendi hit a solo shot. Xander Bogaerts and Eduardo Nunez had a double for the Red Sox.
