The Boston Red Sox rebounded from a crushing loss to the New York Yankees on Friday night, by doubling up the Yankees on Saturday afternoon August 12th 10-5, behind Andrew Benintendi's two 3 run home runs!

Benintendi drove in 6 runs, hitting his 15th and 16th homers, in the 3rd and 5th innings. He finished 2-5 with 6 runs driven in.

Mookie Betts and Rafael Devers each had 2 hits, including a double. Mitch Moreland had 2 hits.

Every Red Sox starter with the exception of Xander Bogaerts had at least 1 hit. All together the Red Sox had 12 hits.

Drew Pomeranz threw 6.2 innings earning his 12th win. He's now 12-4. Pomeranz allowed 3 runs on 7 hits. He struck out 5 and walked 2. Brandon Workman threw 1.1 innings of scoreless and hitless relief. Robbie Scott pitched the 9th, after being recalled from Pawtucket this morning when Dustin Pedroia went on the 10 day disabled list. He allowed 2 runs, on 2 homers.
