Eduardon Nunez playing in just his 2nd game for the Red Sox, was 3-6 with 2 home runs and 3 runs batted in including the game winner in the 10th inning on a groundout. ]

Christian Vazquez, who started the game behind the plate was 3-4 with a double, triple and 2 RBIs. He also scored a run and threw out a runner.

Sandy Leon, came in as a defensive replacement for Vazquez in the 9th inning led off the 10th with a double and scored on Nunez groundout. Leon also threw out a runner in the top of the 10th inning

Rafael Devers playing 3rd base was 2-5 with a RBI. It was his 2nd multi hit game in 4 career games.

The Red Sox used 7 pitchers in the game. Eduardo Rodriguez started and went 4 innings allowing 4 runs on 7 hits. He struck out 5 and walked 1. After Abad and Boyer allowed 4 runs in less than 2 innings, the bullpen settled down throwing 5 shutout innings. Craig Kimbrel pitched the 9th and Matt Barnes picked up the win, pitching the 10th inning. He's now 6-2 on the season.

The New York Yankees beat Tampa Bay Sunday afternoon, so the Red Sox are still in 2nd place, 0.5 games behind the Yankees.
